Was this review helpful? Report Share. Managers were either unable or not willing to help their employees. Scheduling was next to impossible for days off or even if I was sick. The only benefit was the customers and how most made my day a little less terrible.

Cons Need to monitor alternative weekends off for all associates. Nordstrom can be a pleasant place to work. You have to go into it with the understanding that you will work an irregular schedule with not exactly consistent hours and there will be constant pressure to perform.
This didn't bother me because that is how most retail environments are. The goal working for this company is to provide the best possible customer service that you can and that's something that I found easy to do.
Cons would be the constant pressure to sell. Sometimes, lack of foot traffic dictates what you can sell that day. Also, the events got very tedious very quickly it's hard to maintain the same level of enthusiasm for events when they're constantly happening.
Nobody wants to keep reaching out to the same customer again and again for the same event and lose their trust.
It would be nice if they would not have so many events. I worked in cosmetics I can't speak to other departments and how many events they have but in cosmetics it's nearly constant. Pros A fun, inclusive, supportive sales environment.
