Have used many years ago;. Recently I started having some breakouts? I used Proactive right away and skin improved within days;. I've like this product the first day that I used it. So I had bad acne as a teenager in high school, including on my neck and this worked so well on me. I stopped using it since I stopped getting acne but as soon as I got pregnant from my first baby I got acne again and it was bad!
It was mostly on myjaw line, cheeks and chin. As soon as I started using this again I saw the difference right away and my skin is now clear! I love it. I'm 26 yrs old. In high school and college, I had little to no acne, but I did encounter staph at some point during time in athletics-- which if you don't know, is hard to get rid of and is a serious issue.
The worst part was the bacteria was on my face, so when I'd get a pimple from time to time, they would quickly develop into an abscess. It was devastating because 1 They were hideous and hard to hide on my face, 2 It seemed like I had no hygiene routine, but I was actually rigorous and careful about anything that came into contact with my face, 3 It was dangerous because some of the abscesses were very close to my eyes, and 4 Antibiotics did nothing to kill the staph so it seemed like it was gone, but came back again.
My mother ordered me the Proactiv regimen after a sob-fest one evening teenagerhormones. The kit lasted a long time a month or so?
My face was clear and I was no longer embarrassed by hideous abscesses, Band-Aids, and poor attempts to cover it with makeup. I was never sure how Proactiv, and not antibiotics, killed the staph bacteria, but I was one happy teenager! If an anecdote will convince you to try it, then mission accomplished. I was hesitant to try Proactiv even after all the rave reviews I heard about the system. I tried all the other topical cleansers and acne medications but none were working so I finally decided to cave and try it.
The first months during the purging period were the absolute worst my skin had ever looked.. After that my skin has never been clearer!! I do still get the occasional hormonal acne during that time of the month but never anything super bad. This is my holy grail for life!
This last a long time. A little goes a long way and well worth the money! It did take a month or so for my sensitive skin to get use to the products. My skin was dry at first but got better after adding an unscented moisturizer to my routine. Products are not caustic nor harmful. Definitely try before antibiotics. Use the 3 step kit I didn't think it would work! Glad my mom got it for me.
I use it twice a day. Order online stores don't have it. Because it is everyone's favorite and sells out quick. This product delivers! In just a few weeks it started clearing my skin ever now and then I get a pimple but before I used to have blemishes everyday. The first time I used it twice in a day and it gave my skin what appeared to be a chemical burn. I had tiny bumps all over my face.
I took a week off and then tried using it only once a day and for my dry skin that was key. Now I use it once every other day because it is drying but it is so worth it! My skin hasn't looked this good since middle school.
I was afraid that it would break me out more as some of the reviews suggested but that did not happen. Have been using this for awhile and have been seeing great results this is my second repurchase and so far so good. I have redness and acne in my cheeks mostly.
But with these creams I've been noticing less redness and smaller acne. I am 62 still battling acne since the age 11! After dermatologist after dermatologist, treatment after treatment, I finally found a product that really works!!!
I will be sticking with this product from now on! Thank You Proactive!!! Although I am older, I continue to use Proactiv products because they deliver. I have always had oily skin that hasn't changed with age.
