Despite the struggles he endured, Bret Hart is most proud of the fact that he never gave up on anything during the whole ordeal. And as far as Shawn Michaels? He is the showstopper after all. However, ending aside, the real spit in the face here was from Hart in not conceding a loss. He refused to do his job.

Look, I was a fan of the Excellence of Execution and he will forever be an all-time great, but what happened that night hurts his legacy more than it does that of Vince, HBK, or the WWE. Some teams will charge into the playoffs, while others will salvage lost seasons with a few wins to feel good about. Again that has nothing to do with the situation between McMahon and Bret. McMahon just likes to show off his power. He has to control everyone and everything around him, but there's a handful of superstars that he can't control and one of them is Bret Hart.
